Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Gramito you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

2. Adults only

You must be at least 18 years old. Gramito is not intended for people under 18.

3. Closed beta

During the beta the app is offered free of charge, by invitation, and may change, be interrupted or be withdrawn at any time. It is provided “as is”, without a promise that it is free of errors or always available. Do not rely on it as your only copy of important information; you can export your data at any time in the app. Your invitation code is personal: do not share, sell or publish it.

3a. Not medical advice

Gramito gives estimates. Calories, macronutrients, targets and forecasts are approximate and are general guidance, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Recognition from photos or text is produced by an AI and can be wrong; check values you rely on. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, take medication, or have or had an eating disorder or difficulty with eating. Gramito is not suitable for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or as a treatment for an eating disorder. If food or weight worries you, seek professional help. See also the medical disclaimer.

4. Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your device secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (instructions).

5. Your content

You keep all rights to the photos, texts and data you add. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display them, and to send them to our AI provider and other processors listed in the Privacy Policy, only to run the app for you. Add only photos and texts you have the right to use, and no photos of other people.

Product data from barcodes comes in part from Open Food Facts and is available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL); contributors are credited in the app under About.

8. Feedback

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Gramito without payment or duty to you, without limiting your rights to your own personal data.

9. Suspension and ending

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms, to protect the service or other users, or when the beta ends.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you take based on the app’s estimates, and our liability for the free beta is limited to intent and gross negligence. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury and your rights as a consumer. [Wording to be settled with a lawyer.]

11. Changes, law and disputes

We may update these terms; material changes will be shown in the app. These terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, without removing the mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence. If you are a consumer you may contact us first at [email protected]; the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, www.soi.sk) is the Slovak body for out-of-court consumer dispute resolution.
